Czechoslovakia 1000 Korun 1945 Speciman UNC
Issued in the immediate aftermath of WWII, this 1000 Korun note reflects the renewed sovereignty and national pride of Czechoslovakia. Designed by Eduard Hulec and Mikoláš Aleš, and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. London, the note combines artistic elegance with strong patriotic imagery.
The front displays King Jiří z Poděbrad, a 15th-century monarch known for his efforts to unify European states in peace. The reverse features a finely detailed view of Karlštejn Castle, a symbol of Czech heritage and medieval strength, framed by ornate guilloche patterns.
As a Specimen, this note was never issued for circulation, making it especially appealing to collectors. Its crisp Uncirculated condition and British printing add to its rarity.
