Czechoslovakia 2000 Korun 1945 Specimen aUNC Pair

Issued at the close of World War II, this rare 2000 Korun note was part of a provisional series circulated exclusively in Slovakia. Designed by Ivan Joseph Vlček and printed by Neografia in Turčiansky Sv. Martin, it reflects a hopeful agricultural symbolism during a time of national reconstruction.

The front features a bowl of fruit, sheaf of wheat, and the Czechoslovak coat of arms, framed by intricate guilloche patterns in blue, orange, green, and brown. The bilingual text in Slovak and Ruthenian underlines the note’s regional use. The reverse is decorated with linden leaves and fine ornamentation, consistent with national symbolism.

This Specimen pair, never released for circulation, is highly collectible—especially in about Uncirculated condition and as a matched set.
