Slovakia 200 Korun 2002 UNC
The Slovakia 200 Korun 2002 UNC banknote honors Anton Bernolák (1762–1813), a Catholic priest, linguist, and key figure of the Slovak national revival. He is best known as the first codifier of the Slovak literary language, known as "bernolákovčina," and was a strong proponent of Enlightenment ideals. His portrait appears on the front of the note.
The reverse features an 18th-century historical view of Trnava, with the Renaissance City Tower—the symbol of the town—prominently displayed in the foreground.
In December 1999, to commemorate the new millennium, the National Bank of Slovakia issued a special edition of this banknote with a silver metallic foil and the year 2000 inscription. Only 108,000 of these commemorative notes were released, making them a rare collector's item.
